Freq's of nature, forest floor 2016. Organic mechanic, Propellers, airial walk ways, moving insectoid leg's. complete stage

Freq's of nature - "From massive organic mechanic installations, thought through warm light shows, over artistic carpentry to peculiar land art details our decoration concept is following a unique festival direction"

A crew of eighteen artist's working for a month on different aspects of the Forest floor stage. Here i show two albums of solo design work,  one collaboration and the completed stage with all the crew's imaginations brought together with the Organic mechanic brief to create a fantasy environment.

i made propeller's ,ranging from 500mm span's to 2 meter using traditional green woodwork technique's , cleaving and using a draw knife to make planks, steam bending to twist the wood and lathe work for the center sections creating a slightly steam punk style. I shaped the blades as leaf's, grass or feathers

4 meter - 5 meter rope bridges to fill areal space and create shade.

i used different interlinking patterns to crate interesting shadows and decor

the lad art team created 47 different theamed minature tree houses to go in the tree's of our forest. that were each given lights. this created a look of a forest city at night.

​

i carved sections to for some of the houses.

to build our forest floor we took fallen tree's extracting and moving them with the combination of man power, folk lift's and the crew truck.
